In March 2024, our crew traveled to Melbourne again, but not to see the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Albert Park, but just a few kilometers further to The Victorian Racket Club to install two brand new ASB System100 squash courts along with renovating the four existing squash courts that were originally built there. Planning was crucial for this project as we had to fit four new ASB ProGlassBackWalls into the space of the existing courts and make sure all dimensions match and the final product looks perfect.
James Poynton, the driving force behind the project sums up: "We are the first public squash centre built in Melbourne, Australia in 26 years! The centre has been in the planning and making for four years and it is the most technologically advanced squash centre in Australia“ He added: „It’s the only squash centre in Australia that live streams six courts at the same time and the only centre in Australia that has the capability of recording training and matches from three separate camera angles on one court. And we have two courts set up to do this.“
Last but not least, he concluded: „It's pretty cool“.
We could not agree more and are happy to have brought our courts to Melbourne again. Formula 1 must have been a great inspiration for our crew as the courts were installed in record time!
