The ASB GlassCourt at the Saudi International
The Saudi International, the world’s richest ever squash tournament is carried out in the Saudi city of Al-Khobar from 14th until 19th December, with a record prize money of 250.000 US Dollars. Promoter and organiser of this event is the Arab multi-entrepreneur Ziad al Turki, who decided in favour of an ASB GlassCourt already one year ago. “The world’s best 32 players play for the highest prize money and therefore it is only consequent to play this tournament on an ASB Glass Court, as we wish to offer the players, the spectators and the media the best conditions”, Al Turki said during the opening event. In the semi-finals there are Nick Matthew (Eng), Karim Darwish (Egy), David Palmer (Aus) and Greg Gaultier. Which of these four will have a real Christmas present with the prize money still remains to be seen – may the best man win.
